Print design, web design and development

Normally you can expect to receive a quote for most projects. The quote will be based on the number of estimated hours involved times hourly rate ($65 /hr.). Since there are so many variables for every project, it would be impossible to get more detailed here, although for websites you can check the web services page for a basic rundown.

If you are considering my services, I encourage to take a look at my work and then contact me with as much detail about your needs as you can, along with a phone number if possible. In some cases, like when you'd like me to get involved with a design or project that has already been started, skipping the estimate and charging a flat hourly rate is usually a better option and more fair for everyone.

Lessons and Training

Each 8 hour block of time costs just $400 (works out to be $50/hr., for a savings of $200). A $100 deposit is required to book our first meeting with the balance due at the end of the first lesson. Besides blocks, lessons are also sold by the hour for $75 /hr. if you haven't purchased a block, or $60 /hr. if you have in the past six months. I accept cash, check, credit card or Paypal.

Session Minimum. For each session, there is a two hour minimum if you are within 30 minutes of where I live in Novato. Many of my customers are in San Francisco or other areas. For these places (30-60 minute drive) there is a 3 hour minimum, but no travel fees. I think you'll find this a bargain for quality one-on-one help!

Parking. If you're in an area without ample parking, any parking fees and time required to move my car (such as after a time limit) are on the clock/billable. Appointments in downtown San Francisco incur a $50 surcharge which includes parking and extra time needed.

Group Rate. In addition to one-on-one training, I am available to teach small private groups (3-10) at your office or home. Group training can be based on a standard or custom curriculum. Group rate is typically $125 /hr.
