| Jason Gallagher is a San Francisco Bay Area based Graphic Designer and Web Developer with over 12 years of experience. Over the years, he has honed a technique that combines cutting edge eye catching design with a common sense approach to marketing and usability. |
Jason is of a rare breed who thrives on both the creative and the technical. His interests are pretty much evenly split between print design and web development, and has a keen interest in keeping up with all of the many technologies involved.
His foray into the creative world began at a very young age with various failed attempts (at first) at the violin and piano. However, he proved tenacious and eventually took up the electric guitar (somewhat to the chagrin of his parents) and later the violin again... both of which he still plays to this day. Then beginning in his late teens, he was privileged to have a circle of friends with some very talented artists who were (and still are) a major source of inspiration.
After a few years in the business world, creative urges were getting the better of him so he went back to school and finished a 2-year certificate in Graphic Design at the College of Marin in 1998. At that point with relatively little experience, entering the design world proved to be challenging. But as luck would have it, his graphics skills were in high demand by his employers at the time. So in addition to his many administrative duties, he was often enlisted to create marketing materials and websites. As time went on, he was hired full-time as a Web Designer/Graphic Designer, and he was also receiving many design/development jobs on the side. This grew to the point that in 2002, he left his job and began life as a freelance designer. The rest is history.
